Hi everyone,
Hope you are enjoying the weekend so far, the weather is not too bad here after a foggy start, although rather cold the sun is shining at the moment. Apologies the photos aren't great the light wasn't the best when I took them, but here are this week's efforts:
Memory Box winterland tree decorated with tiny Anita's gems, background is made from several of the tree diecuts cut in adhesive backed card mounted close together and then cut into a rectangle (I like the idea that they can be used in a different way). Sentiment stamp is a freebie from last year (I think) Docrafts magazine, I cut the edges of the tag away to make it a bit smaller.
A new Nellie Snellen embossing folder called Snowy Village embossed onto pearlescent white card and glittered liberally with some stickles in Frosted Lace and some glamour dust (which in my opinion gives a better sparkle). Floral oval aperture cut into the backing paper which is from a Humphreys Corner decoupage and paper pad which came free with Simply Cards and Papercraft magazine this month. Embellished with memory box swirls and ribbon slider (behind sentiment), nestability snowflake, and tiny Anita's gems.
Stamped image which I sprayed with cosmic shimmer mica powder (doesnt show in the picture very well, but it is a shimmery lilac colour). I coloured the tiny windows and tree lights to try to give the impression of lights, and then glittered the snow with glamour dust. Cuttlebug snowflake embossing folder was used for the background and it is embellished with a nestie snowflake and Marianne creatables frame tucked behind the image. A few adhesive lilac gems from Helz Cuppleditch Neighbourwood range to finish.
Thank you for looking and any comments you may leave, they are greatly appreciated. Off now to take part in this week's Docrafts Redrottie's leapblog.
I do like the coldish blue's that you use in your cards - it is just so 'right' for Christmas cards and so effective! The embossing and die cuts give it texture and 'life' - really interesting to look at and admire, thank you for sharing them on your blog! happy blog hopping!

These are gorgeous. I love how the embossing mirrors the tree pattern on the first card. It looks like a folder rather than the diecuts.
